Whittier Provider - Alaska Marine Lines
Alaska Marine Lines (AML) awarded Meridian Marine Industries Inc. (MMII) a contract to carry out the replacement of the entire Ballast Piping Systems on four (4) of their Rail/Container barges. Whittier, Fairbanks, Anchorage & Nana Provider. The barges are 428ft long x 100ft Wide x 28ft Deep.
The existing pump room piping systems have been replaced with SCH 80 Galvanized Steel Piping and the void spaces & ballast Tanks completed with Bondstrand piping systems to guarantee the piping systems last the life cycle expectances of the barges.
