Fabrication & Modification of Stern Notch Module of the MV Fairbanks

This ship construction project required the lengthening of the barge, welding of additional fabricated units to the existing structure, and the installation of a 600 ton lifting capacity crane to the new extension. The first phase of the project commenced in April 2005 for the pre-fabrication of the steel panels at Meridian Marine's workshop. In August, the pre-fabricated panels were delivered to the customer's site where our team of steel fitters and welders worked to complete the installation phase of the project, reaching completion in October 2005.
